Conservatives never win when we attack people; we win when we advance Conservative ideas and principles. To be conservative is to advance ideas and are more than bash others. We are a thinking ideology that performs best when we appeal to the higher senses of people, and these higher ideals begin with engaging the mind to a higher vision of the future.
The Republican Party is a dying convention, in the throes of death unless conservatives can refocus people on solid principles. Conservatives, true conservatives and not merely those who have co-opted our agenda in a new populism, should rise to speak to our cause’s ideals. These ideals include:
- limited government
- lower taxes
- peace through strength
- family (sanctity of marriage)
- the sanctity of life
- freedom
- individualism
- anti-communism/socialism.
- Freedom of Religion
- Living within our means
When we advance ideas, people will flock to us. When we focus on fighting people, people will leave like they are leaving the Republican Party. When we promote ideas, we provide an opportunity for people to unite together.
